The Background

The Heart Shopping Centre is a shopping centre in Walton-on-Thames in Surrey. With a target audience of families, The Heart needed a series of festive and interactive marketing campaigns to increase footfall and promote their social media accounts, specifically Instagram and TikTok.

The Challenge

Creating a unique Christmas campaign that would combine community engagement, create content opportunities, and encourage festive cheer. The Heart Shopping Centre wanted a campaign that would keep delivering results throughout December. 

The Solution

Why Media created a Ring to Win campaign.

A Ring doorbell was installed on a festive display in the centre, where visitors were encouraged to ring the bell and leave a festive message for a loved one. Once a day, the doorbell was answered and the recipient received a gift voucher for the Shopping Centre. The campaign focused on creating festive fun, spreading heartfelt messages, and giving the local community the chance to win prizes.

The Results

The campaign was a success. The content creation team created multiple social media posts and compilations of the top messages left on the door. The campaign received positive feedback from retailers, increased engagement on social media and engaged with the local community.
